Naarm Textile Collective exhibition opens tomorrow Tuesday 17th October at 5pm!
AND IT’S GOING TO BE HUGE!!
There was such a buzz when I popped in to Fortyfive Downstairs Gallery today to drop off my work. There are 80 textile artists from all over Victoria exhibiting and some spectacular looking fibre artworks were being placed, hung and attached to the walls.

Uncommon Threads is a collaborative group exhibition of contemporary textile artists exploring the limitlessness of textile art. Read more about it here
I cannot wait to see “Common Threads” - the triptych I created with Jo Roszkowski a few years back - exhibited once again!
These 3 large artworks were created collaboratively over a period of months and they evolved like a conversation between us as we exchanged them back and forth and responded to each others input.
They speak volumes to our shared passion for the natural world, connection to places and its relationship to our creative practice.
I am also exhibiting “Emerging Pride”
Emerging: Pride, freehand machine embroidered thread. free hanging.
